Lori Counts’ areas of expertise include leadership engagement, cross-disciplinary collaboration, strategic planning and performance management. Lori has more than 30 years experience in fund development where her visionary, entrepreneurial spirit has started development efforts for two health care systems from inception to maturity; one, a community based system and the other, a large pediatric system spanning multiple states. As an accomplished development executive, her lead-by-example approach in managing nonprofit organizations is backed by expertise in public speaking, strategy development, constituent relationships and performance management.
She also brings solid analytical skills to developing and implementing strategic plans that align team performance with the organizational mission. She has leadership experience managing several significant campaigns. She has been a member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy for more than 20 years and is a frequent conference presenter. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive and holds a Master’s in Communication Arts from the University of Cincinnati.
