Erin Stitzel, FAHP, CFRE
Erin Stitzel is a health care philanthropy leader specializing in creating and implementing grateful patient strategies. With a focus on fostering clinician engagement, Erin creates partnerships to collaborate physicians, nurses and other frontline caregivers in philanthropic initiatives. She is passionate about building mutually-beneficial and meaningful connections with grateful patients to drive major gifts and has implemented successful patient engagement programs over multi-hospital systems. In addition to playing an integral role in driving grateful patient campaigns and service line physician engagement, she also adds value to organizations through strategic planning and campaign management. Erin’s knowledge of hospital operations and health care culture, combined with her in-depth frontline experience, enable her to integrate programs and solutions that are unique to the health care industry.
Prior to joining Accordant Philanthropy®, Erin advanced fund development at a large regional multi-hospital system, Mount Carmel Health System, that is part of one of the largest national not-for-profit health care systems, Trinity Health. Her most recent position was serving as the chief philanthropy leader for a regional medical center, where she not only led a capital campaign that achieved historic giving for the organization but also served as an integral member of the hospital’s executive team participating in strategic decision-making and financial planning for the hospital.
Erin is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and serves as a conference speaker, webinar presenter and thought leader. She is a member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) and was honored as a member of the AHP “40 Under 40” class of 2018. She holds a degree from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University.
