Betty Ann Copley Harris, FAHP


Betty Ann Copley Harris has more than 30 years’ experience in fund development and strategic planning for nonprofit organizations. She brings an abundance of knowledge in capital campaign planning and implementation, as well as board evaluation and development.

Betty Ann is the former founder and president of a nationally-recognized health care philanthropy consulting firm, which she sold in 2008. She directed hundreds of capital campaigns, provided strategic counsel to a variety of major health care systems and advanced feasibility studies, development program audits, and board assessments. Betty Ann began her career in health care philanthropy in 1976 at a 600 bed academic medical center.

Betty Ann achieved her advanced certification as a Fellow of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (FAHP) and has contributed to the professional advancement of fundraising executives as a member of the CFRE Accreditation Board and the AHP Fellows Board of Examiners. She served board appointments with the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), New England Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, Planned Giving Group of New England and the CFRE Board. She has frequently served as a faculty member or seminar leader for regional and national philanthropy conferences. She is co-author of the book The Fundraising Feasibility Study (John Wiley & Sons).
